After 26 years in the management side of the Advertising business I can finally get back behind a camera to do more than just take family pics.

My preferred subject is honest, straightforward beauty. I can work with every type of equipment from digital to large format film, and I am a pretty good at studio lighting. Things I like are simplicity, direct eye contact,, flattering light, tight composition and fitting my subjects naturally into the environment of their photograph. I would hope that my work is relatively timeless... capturing a classic look you will always be proud of. (By the way, subtle class and genuine beauty are what art directors are going to be looking for.)

I'm not a great fan of pin up, or worse, soft porn type photography with contrived wardrobe and slutty positions or expressions. In contrast I find the nude , either in the studio or in the natural environment to be an exciting subject when handled tastefully. But why, my god , do I see so many photos of "goddesses in nature" wearing stumpy high heels or trashy underwear? I mean do forest spirits really shop at Fredrick's of Hollywood?

In other words, I believe every detail in a photograph must "fit". And I believe that "class" in the treatment of a beautiful subject is sexier than trying to be overt.

I have no aspirations whatsoever to make money with my photography, unless it is being used commercially. I'm happy to shoot model tests... either to your concept and layout, or with my ideas. I'd love to do figure work, but I can make you look just as good and just as attractive in whatever you are comfortable in.
