I heard about this story about an missing actor who disappeared in the Southern California wilderness, in the San Gabriel mountains.  It turned out to be British actor Julian Sands, who I remember from 'Warlock', back from 1989, which is one of my favorite cheesy horror movies of the 80's. 

Apparently he enjoyed hiking, and went missing after going on a hike in the wilderness near Mt. Baldy.   There's been an intensive search for him, but he's not been found yet.  Avalanches have been occurring in that area, as well.

Sadly it's been about a week and a half now and I don't know what the odds of finding him alive are.  Probably not good.  I think I've only seen him in 'Warlock', but I can say for sure he made for a great sophisticated villain.
