It's not hard really. I figure out what the costs are and mark it up 50-100% depending on how much of my time is needed to make it happen.

So take the scissor-lift example. I got that delivered by a friend who ran a trucking company who had one he could deliver to where I needed it. He was going to charge me $400 for that for a few hours.

I figured I had to spend 2-3 hours in making all that happen, so I added that to it and charged the client $800 for everything, which I thought was fair. They thought so too so it all worked out.
