I'm curious. Are the children credited or compensated? If it wasn't for their creativity, this couldn't be done. Creativity often dies when one has to grow up.

One of my newly found fave things to do is go to the Rodin or even the Academy of Natural Sciences (the Dino Joint) and give my little boy turning 6 a sketchpad and a pencil.

He goes to town!

I believe you only lose your creativity if you have parents who crush it early on.  I've seen it, and it's pure evil.

Some still persevere though...

There is an old joke that says if a child was asked to draw a car, they would sketch the outline of a Volvo 240 wagon:

I imagine them showing the "professional artists" version to the child artist and the child loudly exclaims, "NO, NO, NO!  That's a picture of Mommy!"

It looks like he's added in the childs signature if they signed the orignal drawing.
Pretty cool actually.

I like what he's done. Probably pretty cool for the kid too if they know what's going on. To be part of the process of making an 'adult' painting would be pretty neat for a lot of kids.

I don't know why, but the professional style renderings scare the bajeebus out of me!  I guess because as a kid, even though I would draw monsters, they never had the true realism to frighten me.  But these.... yikes!  If I was a kid and drew a pictures and then saw the artists' version of my drawing, I don't think I could ever sleep again!  LOL

As for the photography.... wow!  Both are really cool ideas and amazing execution.  Great find! Thanks for sharing... now I am going to TRY to sleep.  lol
