Hi, I have been shooting B&W nudes on film using natural light.  I have shot with a few models and used baby oil to get a glow to their skin.  However the oil requires reapplication every few minutes, and thats a challenge for me, and the model. Does anyone get this look without having to reapply every few minutes?

Spray on suntan lotion. The aerosol type.

NO to suntan lotion!

Get a small spray bottle/atomizer that produces a fine spray. Mix 1/2 water + 1/2 vegetable glycerine. Spray as needed. Rinses off with water, or can be left on as a skin-moisturizer. It's totally non-toxic, and usually food-grade quality, and so you can even use any left over as a sweetener!

EDIT: On second thought, you did say "oiled look", as opposed to a "wet" look. The recipe I gave you is more for a beaded-water look on the skin. You might try the same ingredients, but with perhaps only 1/4 water, or whatever ratio seems to make the glycerine easy to spread without the water-drop look, if that is what you are after.

Good luck!
